South of Anchorage, Alaska, sits the massive 150 mile long Kenai Peninsula.  The eastern half contains Chugach National Forest.  South of the forest is the fishing town of Seward, which doubles as the starting point of the Iditarod Trail.  Further south along the coast is the Kenai Fjords National Park, where a few dozen glaciers flow off of the Harding Icefield into the frigid waters of the Gulf of Alaska.  Heading west out of the mountains, cross the Kachemak Bay over to the town of Homer.  North of Homer are the lowlands of the peninsula, where glacial deposits formed the landscape.  This landscape is punctuated by the Tustumena Glacier and Lake.  Check out the complementary map for Tustumena Lake as well.

2 arc-second elevation data from the USGS 3D Elevation Program, downloaded from The National Map.
