Tucked into the northwest corner of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan sits Leelanau County, the geographic representation of summer. Rolling hills dotted with cherry orchards drape the landscape as you head north out of Traverse City. Winding roads lead you down to the tree-lined shores of Lake Leelanau. Meander around the lake until you get to the quaint village of Leland and the docks and shanties of Fishtown. Head out into the waters of Lake Michigan towards the Manitou Islands from the shores of the mainland.
