North of Homer are the lowlands of the Kenai Peninsula, where glacial deposits formed the landscape.  This area is punctuated by the Tustumena Glacier and Lake.  The glacier flows west for twenty miles before melting and flowing into the lake.  North of Tustumena Lake is Skilak Lake, which flows into the Kenai River, past the town of Soldotna, eventually out to Cook Inlet.  Check out the complementary map for the entire Kenai Peninsula as well.

2 arc-second elevation data from the USGS 3D Elevation Program, downloaded from The National Map.
